in Madrid. The hotel has been chosen for the reunion and it looks like a grand place for us to celebrate the Ninth International Reunion of the Shealtiel Family. It is centrally located, very attractive, and available at reasonable prices.

It is not too soon to begin booking your trip. To ensure that you reserve a room you need to book by the 15th September. You can find a Reservation Form here. You can pay in instalments of one third of the total price with your credit card through our online payment system. Please reserve your hotel by completing the Reservation Form before making any payment.

The hotel has agreed to offer family members the same discounted price for 2 or 3 days before and 2 or 3 days after the reunion, should you wish to extend your stay. The hotel General Manager has asked that all questions and reservations (including any extensions) go through Philippe. Please do not contact the hotel directly.

All of our tours and transfers are being arranged by Sefarad Connection. Sefarad Connection is a Travel Company that specials in tours in Spain, oriented towards the Jewish history in Spain. TThe Roman Viaducthey will be offering a special add on 5 day tour at the end of the reunion. “Essential Andalusia,” traveling from Madrid to Granada, to Lucena and Seville, to Cordoba, and back to Madrid. 

We will visit Segovia which is a World Heritage city about 40 miles (70 kilometers) northwest of Madrid. The city today has a population of about 56,000 people.

Segovia In the Middle Ages Segovia became an important hub for trading in cloth and textiles, enhanced by a growing Jewish population.  Today the city is known visually for The Alcazar of Segovia, the Roman Aqueduct, the old city walls, and many examples of religious architecture, including the old main synagogue, the Jewish Quarter including the Abraham Senor house, and the Cathedral of Segovia.
